How do I change the date or time of a booking?
Propose a new time on the booking page. The booking moves as soon as the other person accepts.
Plans change. Instead of cancelling, you can move a paid booking to a new date and time, whether you're the customer or the Hero.
Propose a new time
- Open the booking from My tasks.
- Choose Propose a new time under Date & time.
- Pick the new date and time (Malta time) and add a short message if you like.
- Send the proposal.
The other person gets a notification and an email. Nothing changes until they accept, so the booking keeps its current time in the meantime.
Accept or decline
When someone proposes a new time, it's shown at the top of the booking and in your chat. Choose Accept new time to move the booking, or Decline to keep the current time. You can always suggest a different time yourself afterwards.
Good to know
- There can be one open proposal per booking. If you send a new one, it replaces your previous proposal.
- If the other person has already proposed a time, answer that proposal first.
- You can withdraw your own proposal as long as it hasn't been answered.
- Bookings can be moved until the Hero marks the job as done.
- The booking page keeps a short history of proposed times.
Cancellation fees follow the new time
Cancellation terms always use the booking's current time. If a booking is moved, a cancellation less than 24 hours before the new time counts as a late cancellation. See Cancellation and refunds.
