When is the payment released to the Hero?
When the customer approves the job, or automatically after the review period if nothing is reported.
The payment is held by HomeHero from the moment the customer pays until one of the following happens.
The customer approves
When the Hero has marked the job as completed, the customer can approve it on the order page. The payment is released right away.
The review period ends
If the customer neither approves nor reports a problem within 7 days after the job is marked as completed, the payment is released automatically.
A problem has been reported
If the customer reports a problem before the payment is released, it stays on hold. Both parties then have 14 days to agree on a solution in the chat. If they can't agree, HomeHero's team reviews the case and decides whether the payment is released, partly refunded or refunded. See Disputes.
After release
The Hero's payout is sent automatically and usually arrives within 2–7 business days, depending on the bank.
Customers, please note
Releasing the payment means the Hero gets paid, so only approve when you're happy with the work. Approving doesn't remove other legal rights you may have.
