How does HomeHero protect my privacy?
We only show first names, hide your exact address until a job is paid, and block contact details.
Privacy is built into how HomeHero works, so you don't have to think about it every time you post a task.
What others can see
- Only your first name is shown to other users.
- Maps on tasks show an approximate area, not your exact location.
- Your exact address is shared only with the Hero you've booked, after payment.
- Documents Heroes upload for verification are never shown, only the badge.
Contact details stay private
Phone numbers, email addresses, links and social media handles are blocked automatically in messages, questions, offers, tasks and profiles. See Communication rules.
Payments
Card details are processed by Stripe and are never shared with other users.
Your part
- Don't put personal details in task descriptions, photos or public answers.
- Avoid photos showing house numbers, letters or documents.
- Never send ID or money outside the app.
Your settings
You can update your profile in Settings, manage marketing emails in Notification settings, and delete your account at any time when you have no open orders.
