What happens when I accept an offer?

When you accept an offer, you are booking that Hero for the job at the agreed total price.

Payment

You pay by card straight away through our payment provider Stripe. The service fee is shown before you confirm. HomeHero holds the payment safely; the Hero does not receive anything until the job is completed and the payment is released. See Payment protection.

After payment

• A private chat opens in Messages so you can agree on the practical details.
• The Hero receives your exact address.
• The order appears under My tasks, where you can follow its status.

Changing the price

If the scope of the job changes, any price change must go through HomeHero. The Hero is not allowed to ask for extra money beyond the agreed price, and you should never pay anything in cash or by bank transfer on the side.

Other offers

Once you have booked a Hero, the task is no longer open for new offers. If your Hero later cancels, it reopens automatically.
