Can I send photos in the chat?

Yes. Attach up to 4 photos per message in the private chat of a booking. Only the two of you can see them.

Photos make it much easier to explain a job: the stain on the sofa, the leaking tap, the finished result. You can share them in the private chat that opens once a booking is paid.

How to send photos

  • Open the chat from Messages or from the booking.
  • Tap the camera button next to the message box.
  • Choose up to 4 photos (JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, max 8 MB each). You can remove a photo before sending.
  • Add a message if you like, then press Send.

Who can see my photos?

Chat photos are private. Only you and the other person in the conversation can open them. HomeHero support can see them only when needed, for example when a problem is reported. Location data and other hidden details are removed from photos automatically when they're uploaded.

The usual communication rules apply to photos too. Don't send pictures of phone numbers, email addresses, business cards or payment details, and use the Report button if someone does.
